Does Veteran-Ops file my claim or represent me?
No, and that's on purpose. Veteran-Ops is self-help software under 38 CFR 14.629. It decodes, calculates, and preps sign-ready paperwork, but you review, sign, and file everything yourself. It never represents you, never predicts your rating, and never gives medical opinions. Free help from accredited VSOs is always an option, and we point to it throughout the app.
Where do my records go?
Onto hardware we own. OCR, classification, extraction, and every other AI step run on Magic Unicorn's own GPU fleet. Your service and medical records are never sent to a public AI API.
Can the AI get the math wrong?
The AI never does the math. Combined ratings use a frozen implementation of the 38 CFR 4.25/4.26 tables with the bilateral factor, tested against the regulation's own worked examples, and back pay uses official 2018-2026 VA rate tables, verified 81 for 81.
I already have a decision letter. What does it do with it?
Upload it and get plain-English results per condition, flags for what was missing (current disability, in-service event, nexus), a cross-check of the VA's combined-rating math, and a countdown on your appeal window with all three AMA lanes laid out.
Who's Sarge?
Sarge is our Army Ranger unicorn, and he runs the show inside the app. He'll walk you through intake, your Game Plan, and C&P exam prep, and he'll warn you loudly before any move that could poke the bear on an existing rating.
